Summer School with Holly Chapple and Hitomi Gilliam

A two day workshop with Holly and Hitomi covered business, social media, floral mechanics and hands-on sessions on how to create "Tropical Nouveau" bouquets and tablescapes.

The lovely Kate Holt hosted another 2-day Flowerwild workshop at the Hudson Lofts in Los Angeles.  We had gorgeous product, fabulous food and met new floral friends with the same obsession.

She also explained that designing in front of a mirror helps by showing the back of the bouquet.

We had a gorgeous model for our photo shoot and here are some of the bouquets.

Kate demonstrated the construction of a large arrangement using a lacing technique and a chicken wire base.  No foam.

Again, examples of the large arrangements by the participants but unfortunately, I don't know who made which arrangement.
